NAISA Election Results

The 2011 election for NAISA officers has now concluded. Join me in congratulating our new officers:

President-Elect: K. Tsianina Lomaiwaima

Council (three year terms): Daniel Heath Justice and Jose Antonio (Tony) Lucero

Nominations Committee (three year terms): Jodi Byrd and Hokulani Aikau

A warm thank you to the Nominations Committee for their hard work in compiling such an excellent ballot, to all of our candidates for agreeing to stand for office, and for all of you who participated in this year’s election. Your vote matters! This year we had a tie for the second council seat between Tony and David Delgado Shorter. David graciously volunteered withdraw his name from consideration in favor of Tony, or we would have had a run-off!

The voting for our first NAISA prizes has also concluded, and the winners will be announced during the business meeting in Sacramento, Saturday May 21st from 4:00-5:45.

Congratulations to one and all and see you soon in Sacramento!

Jean O’Brien

Re Job Postings

We are experiencing technical difficulties with the "Post a Job" function. If you are a member, please send your announcement to klomawai@asu.edu and I will post it. Apologies for the inconvenience. NAISA does not currently have an option for non-members to post jobs.
