The Nominations Committee is composed of six members. Each serves for three years, in staggered terms, so that two members rotate off the committee and two members rotate on each year at the annual NAISA meeting. The committee’s principal duty is to represent the NAISA membership in the creation of a ballot for the annual NAISA elections. To that end, the committee invites potential candidates to stand for election and asks willing candidates to provide brief bios and election statements, and builds a final ballot, along with relevant candidate bios and election statements, to the NAISA President. The Chair of the Nominations Committee serves as the primary contact between the committee and the NAISA Council. In addition, the Chair reports on the election and its results at the annual NAISA business meeting. The Nominations Committee typically convenes during the annual NAISA meeting but conducts most of its business over email.
