Call for Papers for an upcoming session at the Australian Archaeological Association Conference.
The session is titled the following:
**“Decolonising archaeology beyond Australia: Reclaiming local narratives and community authority in global archaeological practice”**
Convened by:
* Shahy Radwan, Flinders University
* Daryl Wesley
* Mirani Litster
The session invites contributions exploring Indigenous knowledge systems, local epistemologies, oral traditions, community authority, collaborative methodologies, and culturally grounded approaches to archaeology and heritage interpretation. We are particularly hoping to encourage participation from Indigenous scholars, community researchers, and researchers working across diverse global contexts.
Given the important work undertaken within NAISA and the strong thematic connections with Indigenous methodologies, cultural sovereignty, and decolonising practice, we would be deeply grateful if the session announcement could be shared through your networks or relevant communication channels.
