Diné College Press
Diné College Press invites volunteers to join its inaugural Editorial Board, a new advisory body that will help shape the future of Indigenous publishing at Diné College. This board will guide the development of editorial and submission policies for the Press’s forthcoming peer-reviewed journal, grounding its work in Diné philosophy and community accountability.
As Diné College Press re-establishes its legacy as a center for Navajo and Indigenous scholarship, the Editorial Board will play a key role in defining ethical, inclusive, and culturally grounded publishing standards. Members will collaborate with the Press’s Editorial Director to create frameworks for peer review, author guidelines, and long-term editorial priorities that reflect Diné ways of thinking.
Who Should Apply: Volunteer positions are open to Diné College faculty, staff, students, and alumni, Navajo Nation community members, and Indigenous and allied scholars, journalists, and editors committed to Indigenous-centered publishing.
Commitment: Inaugural Board members will serve for at least one year, starting in February 2026; they will commit to monthly virtual meetings for the first six months and then as needed through the remainder of their term.
