SUMMARY
The planning committee is delighted to invite you to the 2022 Five College NAIS Symposium, the last NAISA Regional Gathering for 2022.
Situated in the Dawnland and at the crossroads of Indigenous nations to the north, south, east, and west, we invite regional NAIS scholars to our five campuses to renew ties, create new collaborations, and celebrate ongoing work.
The Symposium will open with a reception on Thursday, September 22, at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum where guests can visit the
exhibit on Indigeneity and be held all day Friday, September 23, at the UMass Hotel. The theme of the event “
Museums, Archives, Preservation, Representation in the Northeast” will feature panel discussions and presentations by representatives from museums and publishing companies, among other activities. The Symposium will officially close on September 23 at Smith College with a performance by Jennifer Kreisberg, Tuscarora (North Carolina) and a member of the Native women’s trio Ulali.
Additional details, schedule, and registration information are available on FCI website.
