About the Position
The Ketchikan Campus of the University of Alaska Southeast seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor of History to provide high quality instruction in our interdisciplinary undergraduate programs in face-to-face and distance-delivered formats. Classes include survey-level US and world history offerings, upper-division classes, and the opportunity teach special topics courses in the faculty member’s area of interest. Candidates with expertise in Alaska History, culture and history of Alaska’s Indigenous peoples, local history, and other specializations of interest to Alaska students are especially encouraged. UAS is committed to faculty diversity and advancing the education of Indigenous peoples and is located on the ancestral homeland of the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples.
